All the information you need to know about REMKE Pilates can be found below.
Feel free to contact us if there is anything you would like to know.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body workout performed on a reformer machine that uses springs, straps, and pulleys to create resistance. It targets strength, flexibility, and posture alignment. The reformer offers support and challenge, making it highly effective and adaptable.
How is Reformer Pilates different?
Unlike mat Pilates, reformer Pilates uses a machine that adds resistance and support for a deeper, more controlled workout. It allows for greater variety and precision in movement. This makes it ideal for both beginners and advanced clients.
Who can do Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels, including beginners, athletes, and those recovering from injury. The adjustable resistance makes it easy to tailor to individual needs. If you have specific health concerns, we recommend speaking with your instructor before class.
What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?
Benefits include improved core strength, flexibility, posture, muscle tone, and injury prevention. It also enhances mind-body awareness and relieves stress. Regular practice supports functional movement and overall wellness.
How often should you do Reformer Pilates?
We recommend 2–3 sessions per week for noticeable results and long-term benefits. Beginners can start with 1–2 sessions to build strength safely. Consistency is key to progress.
What is Mat Pilates?
Mat Pilates is a floor-based workout using body weight and minimal equipment to build strength, flexibility, and core stability. It focuses on controlled movement and proper alignment. All exercises are done on a mat, making it accessible and effective.
Why should I try Mat Pilates?
It’s a low-impact, full-body workout that enhances posture, balance, and muscular endurance. Mat Pilates is ideal for building a strong foundation and is suitable for all levels. It’s also a convenient and effective way to improve mobility and strength.
Do I need prior Pilates experience to join a class?
No prior experience is needed – our instructors will guide you through each movement with clear cues and modifications. Classes are beginner-friendly and supportive. Just bring a mat and an open mind!
How often should I practice Mat Pilates to see results?
Practicing 2–3 times per week can lead to noticeable improvements in strength, posture, and flexibility. Consistency over time yields the best results. Even one session a week can make a difference.
Do I need to be flexible to do Mat Pilates?
Not at all—Pilates helps you gain flexibility, no matter where you’re starting from. Movements can be modified to suit your mobility level. Everyone is welcome, and progress happens over time.
